Abortion increases Breast Cancer Risk

More bad news for women!  Honestly all abortion ever did was make it easy for irresponsible men to be even more irresponsible!

New Study Finds 66 Percent Increased Breast Cancer Risk After Abortion Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — A new study done on women in Turkey who had abortions finds a 66 percent increased risk of contracting breast cancer as a result. The study is the latest to confirm that abortions cause significant adverse medical risks for women who have them, in addition to killing unborn children. The results also found that, while induced abrotion causes increased breast cancer risks for women, having a spontaneuous abortion, or miscarriage, does not. Dr. Vahit Ozmen and his colleagues at the Istanbul Medical Faculty at Istanbul University and Magee-Women’s hospital in Pittsburgh conducted the new retrospective study. They published their findings in the April 2009 issue of the World Journal of Surgical Oncology and examined women who, between January 2000 and December 2006, were admitted to clinics of Istanbul Medical Faculty for examination. The researchers said that their findings showed abortion was “significantly associated with increased breast cancer risk.” “Breast cancer risk was found to be increased in women with … induced abortion (95% confidence interval)” and an age above 35 years-old at the time of a first live birth. “However, decreased breast cancer risk was associated with … presence of spontaneous abortion.” Full story at LifeNews.com

Pressure to abort

Every week in our Women’s Health Center we see women every week who are contemplating abortion, not because they view abortion as their choice, but because “their man” is pushing them to abort. Life Choices provides real help so women can make their choice. No one should feel that they are obliged to abort. Real help is available! Life Choices is a pro-woman organization. We enable women. With kindness and compassion women are provided with on-going support! Early feminists were concerned about this issue.
Sarah Norton: “Perhaps there will come a time
when…an unmarried woman will not be despised for her motherhood…
and when the right of the unborn to be born will not be
denied or interfered with”
Susan B. Anthony: Abortion “will burden
her conscience in life, it will burden her soul in death; But oh,thrice guilty is he who drove her to the desperation which impelled her to her crime!”

Planned Parenthood covers for child abusers

Once again Planned Parenthood’s  anti woman, pro -child abuse has been exposed.   Young college students have gone undercover to expose Planned Parenthood’s abuse of women; each in different states…all finding the same thing.  Planned Parenthood obviously views women of any age as recreational vehicles for man’s enjoyment.  Planned Parenthood continues to cover up the crimes of pedophiles.   In this case the young woman convinced the Planned Parenthood worker she was 14 and that she was impregnated by a 31 year old man.   Nice.   But that’s OK.  Planned Parenthood will provide an abortion without the 14 year old’s parental consent.  See, no one would ever have to know.   And the 31 year old could abuse the same girl or others.  He’s free to use anyone he pleases.   The 14 year old, well…. Why would Planned Parenthood care about her?  All this and still funded with our tax money. Nice!  Check out this undercover video.   Why is Planned Parenthood able to do this sort of thing repeatedly?  And get our tax money!   Why isn’t the local DA’s office demanding that all records be turned over so the other victims can be protected and criminals prosecuted?

The night-before pill for men?

Common side effects for women who use birth control pills for EC are nausea, vomiting, headaches, breast tenderness, dizziness, fluid retention and irregular bleeding. These side effects usually disappear after 1-2 days. Side effects are rare when Plan B is used.

I wonder, would a man take the night- before pill?  What if we had this new form of contraception?   Men, just take one pill.  Only “slight” side effects:

Abdominal pains (if severe go to hospital)
Chest pain or shortness of breath
Headaches (severe call doctor)
Eye problems, such as blurred vision
Severe leg or arm pain or numbness
nausea
vomiting
headaches
breast tenderness
dizziness
fluid retention
and irregular bleeding

Don’t worry men, side affects will subside in a couple of days.

I don’t think there would be too many signing up for these complications.

….hmm, why is it OK to expect women to put up with these chemicals in their bodies.   Why do so called feminist groups think chemicals and abortion equate reproductive freedom?  Sounds like reproductive slavery to me!

What are they thinking?!

Should dangerous drugs be given to minors?

Well said, Deborah Kotz.

“The Food and Drug Administration may soon be offering the Plan B “morning-after” pill to girls of all ages. A federal judge yesterday ordered the agency to reconsider its decision to approve the over-the-counter product only for those over age 18. Within 30 days, the FDA must make Plan B available to 17-year-olds. Beyond that, the judge instructed the agency to review whether to make emergency contraception —which can prevent pregnancy if taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex—available without any age restriction.

Reproductive rights activists hailed the ruling. “Today’s decision is an important victory that will help increase women’s access to contraception,” Louise Melling, director of the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project, said in a press release that landed in my inbox. “It is the first step toward ending years of political interference by the FDA regarding Plan B and will give more women the opportunity to prevent an unintended pregnancy.”

The problem I have here is in Melling’s definition of a “woman.” Is a 16-year-old girl a woman? How about a 12-year-old?

The judge lambasted the FDA for an “arbitrary and capricious” decision to impose an age limit on Plan B that was crafted from “political and ideological” forces from within the Bush administration. I’m not sure I agree. While ideology certainly came into play when the FDA kept delaying its decision to make Plan B available over the counter, I’m not convinced the age limit was so arbitrary.

After all, we don’t consider girls under a certain age to be capable of consenting when they engage in sexual intercourse, yet somehow we’re encouraging them to use Plan B after they have unprotected sex. And age limits on over-the-counter products aren’t unheard of. Just ask any 20-year-old trying to buy a six-pack of beer, or a 17-year-old trying to get a pack of cigarettes.

What really worries me, though, is whether a teenage girl can be counted on to use Plan B as it’s intended to be taken. The manufacturer’s website is pretty frank about the complexities of using this product. It’s composed of two pills to be taken 12 hours apart and is supposed to be a backup method of preventing pregnancy, not meant for routine use. That’s because it’s not as effective as, say, taking a birth control pill every day. More important, it must be taken within 72 hours after unprotected sex or it may not keep you from getting pregnant.

Girls, as well as grown women, also need to think about side effects like nausea, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, and breast tenderness. And they need to be aware that if their period comes more than a week late, they may be pregnant. What’s more, if they have severe abdominal pain along with a missed period, they should seek immediate medical attention because they could have an ectopic pregnancy.

Got all that? Now how about a 12-year-old? Do you think she can get all that too? Didn’t think so”

What did early feminists have to say about abortion?

Elizabeth Cady Stanton
She classified abortion as a form of “infanticide.” The Revolution, 1(5):1, February 5, 1868
“When we consider that women are treated as property, it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit.”
Letter to Julia Ward Howe, October 16, 1873, recorded in Howe’s diary at Harvard University Library
“There must be a remedy even for such a crying evil as this. But where shall it be found, at least where begin, if not in the complete enfranchisement and elevation of women?”
The Revolution, 1(10):146-7 March 12, 1868

Swiss women make healthier choices

SWISS WOMEN LEAVING THE PILL
POSTED: FEB 28, 2009

Genetique, a French bioethics site, sees Swiss women’s concern for health as the cause for the recent significant drop in use of the Pill. Forty-three percent of 15 to 24-year-olds were taking the Pill in 2003; only 26% in 2007. A spokesman explained, “”It is now proven that the pill suppresses libido and causes weight gain. The fear of cancer and sterility are equally responsible.”

Why does our culture teach women that to control ones future we have to fill our bodies with chemicals in order to make ourselves sexually accessible for men.  I don’t know of any man who gets up in the morning and says, “I am feeling entirely too potent, I better take a pill and fill my body with chemicals”!  Why are women accepting a mile long list of side affects.  How would this make us free?  Make us equal?  Fertility is not a disease that should be treated with medication.   Natural family planning allows us to make use of an understanding of our bodies to control our future.  But no one makes any money when  woman learns NFP.
